STRATEGIC INTERNSHIPS FOR ZIMBABWEANS

There are 11,000 Zimbabweans in the UK who are caught in a terrible limbo. They have been refused sanctuary but are unable to return home because of the situation in Zimbabwe. The Zimbabweans here have skills that are going to waste in the UK because they are prevented from working. We think that should change and that Zimbabweans should be allowed to work and pay taxes until it is safe for them to return.

However, in the meantime we are enouraging businesses, charities and public sector organisations to offer strategic internships to Zimbabweans so that they gain skills and work experience that will help them to rebuild Zimbabwe when it is safe to return.
